Contract Extensions

Dear Doctoral Researchers,

If you have a Helmholtz contract and would like to apply for a contract extension, you need the consent of the HELENA Graduate Student Office. This applies to HELENA members and Doctoral Researchers with a Helmholtz working contract.

To process your request we need your TC membersand at least oneTC meeting. Please upload the following documents via the Contract Extension Form:

Helmholtz contract and HELENA member:

1. Annual Thesis Committee MeetingForm
2. Time and work plan for the duration of the extension in months
3. Progress Report/ Power Point Presentation that was prepared for the TC meeting
4. If an Annual Thesis Committee Meeting could not take place due to unforeseen circumstances but a contract extension is required, please attach the E-mails (PDF) of all the Thesis Committee Members consenting to the contract extension and work and time plan. 

Helmholtz contract and NOT HELENA member:

1. Annual Thesis Committee MeetingForm 
2. Time and work plan for the duration of the extension in months
3. Progress Report/ Power Point Presentation that was prepared for the TC meeting
4. If an Annual Thesis Committee Meeting could not take place due to unforeseen circumstances but a contract extension is required, please attach the E-mails (PDF) of all the Thesis Committee Members consenting to the contract extension and work and time plan. 

Guest contract and HELENA member:

1. Please contact your sponsor (extension of contract), supervisor and HR Manager(extension of your Helmholtz guest contract).
2. Please note that you have to submit independent of your contract extension the Annual Thesis Committee MeetingForm and Progress Report/ Power Point Presentation that was prepared for the TC meeting.

Guest contract and NOT HELENA member:

Please contact your sponsor (extension of contract), supervisor and HR Manager(extension of your Helmholtz guest contract).
