Helmholtz Zentrum München Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Gesundheit und Umwelt

Have you updated your email signature yet?

Are you still calling yourself a "PhD student at the Helmholtz Zentrum München"? Then you might have missed out on some updates!

Along with the new branding, Helmholtz Munich has dropped the "Zentrum" or "Center" and is now usually referred to as "Helmholtz Munich" in both German and English. Also, the abbreviation HMGU is no longer used.

So, it's time to update your email signature or affiliation on LinkedIn!

The Communications & Strategic Relations (COMS) Team provides templates for your email signature, presentations, wallpapers etc. in HINT:

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on "Email signature template".
  • At the bottom of the text, you find a word document with the email signature templates. If you are loggedin HINT at the moment, you might be able to access this document directly here.
  • You can also download the correct logo for your signature on the mentioned page.

You might have also heard that doctoral researchers at Helmholtz Munich are no longer referred to as "students" since the New Guidelines and Supervision Agreement for Doctoral Researchers were implemented this year. Therefore, we would recommend to use "Doctoral researcher" in your email signature.
