As an experienced science and project manager, Alice Edler has worked in university and non-profit environments for the last 10 years. Upon completion of her doctoral degree, she started her career path as coordinator of two international Master programs at the LMU’s Faculty for Biology, before she moved to the Medical Faculty.

Her main focus there was the conceptualization and implementation of a transparent umbrella structure across all doctoral degrees, the establishment of the Munich Medical Research School (MMRS). As well as the internationalization of the faculty, both digitalization and modernization of doctoral education were further aspects.

Her time at the LMU was followed by a position as Head of Project Management Office at EIT Health, before she returned to a scientific environment. Here, at the Helmholtz Zentrum München, she is now excited and looking forward to being able to support junior scientists in all aspects of their future career paths.
