The Eppendorf Award for Young European Investigators acknowledges outstanding contributions to biomedical research in Europe based on methods of molecular biology, including novel analytical concepts.
The Award is endowed with 20,000 Euros and is presented in partnership with the scientific journal Nature.
The papers submitted (min. 3- max. 5) will be evaluated with respect to the following five selection criteria: independent scientific work, creativity (independent of instructions from head of institute), successful practical application of research approach, significance of research results for the field of medicine, achievement of the candidate in relation to his/her age (for scientists up to 35 years of age).
