The award, financed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals, is endowed with 1,500 euros. The winner must receive the prize in person during the GBM spring conference in Mosbach (March 25-27, 2021). Dissertations on biochemical or molecular biological topics finished in 2020 can be submitted. In principle, all scientists have the opportunity to apply. Self-applications are just as possible as suggestions from supervisors. The decisive factor is the above-average quality of the work; membership in the GBM is not required.
