The Code of Ethics for Researchers was written by the world economic forum (WEF) young scientists community. The international group of diverse scientists proposes a framework for ethical research, to shape the behavior of individuals and the processes of the scientific institutions. The Code is supposed to give social and moral guidelines for scientists and the public on scientific practice and the translation of discoveries into practical solutions or public policies.

Maria Elena Torres-Padilla, director of the Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells, is a member of the Young Scientists Community and contributed to writing the Code of Ethics. Prof. Dr. Torres-Padilla will give an introduction to the Code of Ethics, followed by a round table.
