The Gustav Adolf Lienert Award was initiated in order to award outstanding biometric papers/works published by young scientists who normally have not completed the 35th year of their life on December 31 of the year of the application and are a member of the German Region of the International Biometric Society at the time of application. Other researchers are expressly invited to apply, if their carreer in research had to proceed slower because of, e.g., raising kids, nursing elderly relatives, military service or voluntary social service.
