Kerstin Günther and Matthias Tschöp already announced via NIP: We expressively instruct all employees currently returning from China to refrain from coming to work for 14 days! This restriction also applies to all guest scientists and visitors from China to the HMGU campus and all our outstations.
We apologize for the inconvenience and short notice, but this instruction must be observed irrespective of whether you experience any symptoms of a coronavirus infection or not.
This decision was made, as the incubation period of this virus is about 1 to 14 days and transmission from human to human has been proven and asymptomatic infection is also possible. The virus (2019-nCoV) continues to spread in China and first cases have been reported in Europe and in Germany. Therefore, we have implemented the above measure to protect all our employees. Please be vigilant and if you notice, any symptoms consult with your Doctor immediately.
