The STEM-Tisch organizing committee invites you to join the next Helmholtz Munich STEM-Tisch event in the Inspiring Women Series featuring Professor Dana Pe’er, chair of Computational and Systems Biology Program at the Sloan Kettering Institute, New York.
The Inspiring Women series brings inspiring stories of leading women in research and industry from around the world to the Helmholtz Munich community. These outstanding women are established leaders and/or recognised role models for Women in STEM.
The event will start with a short plenary talk by Dr. Guelcin Abbaszade, the Equal Opportunities Officer, on an overview of support services (Counselling, mental health and parenting services) available to staff and students at the institute. This will be followed by an invited in-person talk by Professor Dana Pe’er, a leading researcher in computational biology, about her research and career in science as a female scientist. After her talk, we will have a networking event in person during lunch where pizza and drinks will be provided.
You are invited to join this special event on Thursday, 24th of November 2022, at 11:30 am in the Neuherberg campus in building 3620 (HDC) room 041. If you are interested to join in person, please make sure to sign up via the Eventbrite page. The event will also be broadcasted. Please find the zoom link here.
