Postdoc Workshop: Understanding Reviewing Procedures for Third-Party Funding Proposals

Trainer: Dr. Oliver Grewe

The workshop will take place online on October 6th, 9.00 am - 5.15 pm.

Please register latest until the end of August for the workshop via this DFN Form.

Target group: Postdocs, after consultation via e-mail this course is also open to Doctoral Researchers in the latest stages of their PhD.

During the workshop, the trainer Dr. Oliver Grewe, who is looking back on years of experience at the VolkswagenStiftung, will help you understand the perspective of reviewers in a selection process. This change of perspective will help you to prepare proposals or manuscripts for peer reviewing in the future.

The workshop is aimed at postdocs who want to understand the logic of peer review processes and presents different review strategies and background information from the perspective of research funders.

To participate in this workshop, you will need to prepare a one-page proposal for a fictional call for applications until mid-September. These proposals will then be discussed during the workshop – so you can experience being both applicant and reviewer in the selection process.
