Prevention Prize of the Society for Internal Medicine – for scientists

The € 10,000 prize is awarded to the best paper submitted in the field of primary and secondary prevention of internal diseases in German or English from the German-speaking world. Original papers accepted for publication or already published from all levels of clinical research, from basic research to patient-oriented research to health services research, will be considered for the award. Suitable topics include, for example, the development of new genetic, molecular or cell biological parameters that may be useful for prevention in the future, as well as epidemiological studies that open up approaches to prevention, or intervention studies that attempt to implement such approaches. Other aspects of prevention may also be suggested. The work must not have been published in its present form or substantial content prior to November 15, 2020, at the time of submission for the Prevention Award application, and must not have participated in a similar competition.
