Town Hall Meeting and Best Paper Award presentation on February 11, 2021 at 3 pm

On February 11, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, the 10. Town Hall Meeting will be held online again due to the current pandemic situation. The Best Paper Award will also be presented during this meeting.

We are very pleased to welcome Prof. David Cahan - live from Lincoln, Nebraska! David Cahan is the author of the intriguing biography "Helmholtz: A Life in Science" and will walk us through the life and work of Herrmann von Helmholtz. This is just in time for the anniversary year 2021 as Herrmann von Helmholtz would have celebrated his 200th birthday this year.

In addition, the Best Paper Award will again be presented during the meeting on February 11th, 2021. Volker Bergen, from ICB is currently the proud holder of this award. To whom will this award be passed on to next?

Once again, we highly encourage and invite you to send us your nominations! Have you been impressed by the scientific publication of a colleague? Are you particularly proud of your own publication? Then do get in touch with the SPR Department. The prize is a bottle of champagne and the presentation of a trophy with your own name tag.

Factors such as the impact on the research field or the influence on society will be taken into account by the jury. The impact factor of the journal is irrelevant. Papers published between October 2020 and February 2021 are eligible for nomination. Publications that reach "accepted" or "in press" status during this period are also eligible for nomination.
