With her poster “Assessment of Plant-Associated Bacterial Community of Miscanthus x giganteus and Its Response to Metal Stress” (Zadel U., Nesme J., Radl V., Schröder P., Schloter M.), she was selected for the award from among 70 participants in the poster competition.
Zadel's work is embedded in the EU Phyto2Energy project, where her current work is focused on investigating options for improved plant growth on heavy metal contaminated soils by means of endophytic microorganisms. In the Plant Microbiome research group, she is thus contributing to the topic of the bioeconomy.
