Helmholtz Zentrum München Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Gesundheit und Umwelt

Hannah Eichhorn, IML

I started my PhD in May 2022 at the Institute of Machine Learning in Biomedical Imaging. I have a background in Medical Physics and am now working on deep learning methods for the reconstruction of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Being a fan of outdoor sports, I joined DINI at the hiking social in June 2022. At our annual DINI retreat I was elected to be one of the HeJus (Helmholtz Juniors). This means, I am representing the doctoral researchers from Helmholtz Munich in the Germany-wide network of doctoral researchers within the Helmholtz association.

Both being part of Helmholtz Juniors as well as engaging in DINI are great possibilities to meet new people who are dealing with similar situations – especially during the beginning of the PhD. I am looking forward to contribute to making lives as doctoral researcher here at Helmholtz Munich easier and more fun!
