My name is Sophie and I’m in the 3rd year of my PhD in the Institute of Virology. I have been a member of DINI for about 2 and a half years now, and have been running the welcome team for almost as long – in fact, if you started your doctorate within that time, you may recognise my name from the welcome team email you got when you started. I also organise monthly DINI socials for doctoral researchers. I believe that my experience with DINI has given me the knowledge and the understanding to be an effective doctoral representative.
